Update: On January 31 2017, the Trump regime excluded the USPS from the hiring freeze. NBC News has posted a copy of the Trump hiring freeze executive order. The order, as reported earlier, excludes only military personnel. The order is to apply “across the board in the executive branch”. USPS halts Staples deal after union protest, judge’s order

SAN JOSE — The U.S. Postal Service has terminated an agreement that allowed Staples employees to operate post office desks inside the retailer’s stores, union and postal officials said Thursday. “The program is over,” Augustine Ruiz, a Bay Area spokesman for the USPS, confirmed Thursday.
